TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE

CANCELATIONS:

A full refund will be provided if cancellation occurs in writing within 3 quarters of the time from the booking. Refund on all pre-paid money will be based on cancellation fees levied by hotels and lodges. There is a 80% charge on cancellation within 60 days, and 95% charge within7 days, and 100% within 90 hours. We reserve the right to deduct all expenses incurred from money paid.

ALTERATION OF TOUR:

The right is reserved to alter any arrangement or route, to cancel the operation of any scheduled tour, should the conditions necessitate. Should you fail to join the tour after departure or leave prior to completion, no refund can be made.

TRANSFER OF BOOKING:

In case you are unable to travel due to some circumstances, we may transfer your booking to another party only if the arrangements remain the same, and if suppliers “airlines and hotels,” are all ready to accept the transfer. Gorilla permits can be transferred at certain instances.

TRANSPORTATION:

Transportation is in 4x4 Safari vehicles and will be dependent on the number of clients and the route taken. It will also be based on the specifications of the itinerary you selected.

An experienced English-speaking driver and guide(s) are provided.

ACCOMMODATION:

Based on Singles, Doubles and Twin bed rooms or tents with private bathrooms where possible, but can be booked to your specific request.

TRAVELER’S INSURANCE AND HEALTH:

Make sure you buy your travel insurance through your agent before you come to Uganda. It is every traveler’s responsibility to obtain health certificate.

COMPLAINTS:

Any complaint should be reported to the guide or to the head office in Kampala and the company will do all it can to solve the complaint.

LIABILITY:

Bookings are all accepted on the specific conditions that Hamlet Birding Tours & Safaris Ltd and its agents act only as agents of the passengers in all conditions related to hotel/lodge accommodations, tours, transport, and activities under taken. We shall not be liable for any injury, illness, delay, loss of life and property or damage in any manner whatsoever.

JURISDICTION:

Hamlet Birding Tours & Safaris Ltd is incorporated in the Republic of Uganda and operates under the government laws. All claims are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of laws in Uganda.

BIRDING AND VIEWING WILD ANIMALS:

Wild animals unlike in the Zoo belong in the wild land as their home. There is no guarantee on game viewing or birding. It is a privilege to see animals in their natural habitat. Where as a Gorilla permit guarantees you that you will track gorillas to their location, it does not guarantee that the gorillas will be in plain sight.

Note:

This is a safari adventure; please note that the weather conditions in Africa are different from those in developed countries. We receive tropical rains and sunny weather conditions. Please refer to our travel tips.

A Gorilla permit costs US $ 500 each, and should be booked at least, four months in advance from Uganda Wildlife Authority.
